Jamaica

Jamaica

Jamaica has more character than the average resort strip — mountains, cliffs, reggae, jerk shacks, and three very different resort zones. Pick the right one and it’s unforgettable.

Best Time to Visit

When to Go

November–April is peak dry season. December–January is priciest. May–June has great weather and lower prices (shoulder sweet spot). September–October is hurricane season and many resorts discount hard.

Beyond the Hotel

What to See

You can stay on the resort. But here’s what you’d be missing.

Negril (Seven Mile Beach)

Long, flat white-sand beach on the west coast. Sunset cliff jumping at Rick’s Café. Laid-back vibe.

Montego Bay

Biggest airport, most resorts, closest transfer. Good for shorter trips or first-time visitors.

Ocho Rios

Dunn’s River Falls (climbable waterfall), Blue Hole, more adventure options. Cruise port — busier.

Blue Mountains

Jamaica’s famous coffee origin. Day tour from the north coast takes most of a day but is a completely different Jamaica than the beach.
